Player Settings
This panel provides settings for player control. These settings apply to all games.
Player Control Method
Select the preferred method for controlling the games. Typically this will be "Mouse Movement and Mouse Click", this is the default setting. If you prefer to play using the keyboard you can choose "5 Keys:SPACEBAR or ENTER key plus the 4 cursor keys".
If the player has a disability that requires special access then please read the 'Accessibility' section below.

Nanogames supports a wide range of access methods.
Player Control Method
In addition to the standard Mouse and keyboard access, Nanogames supports a wide range of alternative devices. Players with limited use of the keyboard might like to choose the 2-4 keys options, allowing them to play using a limited range of keys. Nanogames also includes in-built Single Switch Scanning where a single key, mouse click or switch attached can control the entire game.
NOTE: If you choose "Mouse Click Only (Scanning)" then a large green button will be displayed below the Game Menu and below the Game. Your mouse cursor must be positioned over the large green button while scanning for the mouse clicks to be detected.
- Release Delay - the time (in milliseconds) after a keypress when other keypresses with be ignored
- Scan Speed - the time (in milliseconds) between each movement of the scanning cursor.
- Cursor (glow) Size - the size of the glow around the cursor that highlights the currently selected object.
- Stop Key Repeats - If ticked, a key will need to be released before another keypress is recognised.
- Scanning Cursor Sound - optional sound played each time the scanning cursor moves.
- Game Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Hue - these settings change the way all games are displayed. The most common use of these settings is to increase the contrast and reduce the brightness. This provides a bolder view for players with low vision.
